Beltola is a promising youngster who came through the ranks of Brazil’s U-17 youth national team. He made his professional debut for Brazilian first division side Gremio in 2021 before moving to Portugal in 2022 to play for first division side Santa Clara. Despite his young age (23 years old, born in 2000), he has more than 50 professional appearances under his belt and is still considered a player with a lot of upside.
He wears the number 13 shirt. Beltola said: “I am happy to come to Daegu, where there are passionate fans. I’ve been following Daegu’s fighting spirit and I’m looking forward to working with the team to help them achieve their goals by the end of the season. I will repay the fans’ welcome with a good performance on the pitch.”The signing of Beltola fills the void left by Peña, who is out of contract. “We expect a more effective control of the midfield and an active attack,” the club said.
Beltola has completed his medical and has been working with the team since joining the squad.
