He is currently with Barberry BOIS of Sweden and scored 7 goals in 24 appearances last season.

He also has ties to Asian football. Simovic, who stood out in the prestigious Helsingborg in his home league, played an active part in the Japanese J-League from 2016 to 2019. In the first season of his transfer, he scored 11 goals in 29 matches for Nagoya Grampus.

He exploded 21 goals in the second division after Nagoya was relegated to the second division in 2017, and after moving to Omiya in 2018, he scored 14 goals in two seasons.

Since then, he has been active in Barberry through Italian Serie B Livorno and Norwegian Ord.

Ahead of the season opening, last year’s K-League 1 champion Ulsan secured two Swedish players, while domestic clubs are in a rush to recruit Northern European players. Jeonnam also joined the ranks by signing Simovic.
