Jersey (31-New York Yankees) hit 62 home runs last year to win the American League MVP. Will we see him again this year?
Newsday spoke to Yankees general manager Brian Cashman on Thursday (14 July) about the timetable for Jersey’s return from injury.
온라인카지노Judge injured his right big toe during an away game against the Los Angeles Dodgers on the 4th of last month. He was placed on the injured list (IL) with a torn ligament in his big toe after making a hard collision with the outfield fence while fielding.
More than a month later, there has been no word on his return. He was scheduled to play in the All-Star Game on 12 December, but was unable to do so due to the injury.
“There’s no timetable for his return,” Cashman said, adding, “He’ll be back at some point (in the second half).”
The Yankees have been left with a hole in their lineup since the loss of Judge. According to MLB.com, the team has struggled since his absence, posting the league’s lowest batting average (.218), on-base percentage (.288) and third-fewest runs scored (117).
Time for Jersey to rebound. I’m curious to see if Jersey makes the team in the second half and shows MVP majesty.
