SSG Landers won the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League regular season away game against Hanwha Eagles at Daejeon Hanwha Life Insurance Eagles Park on the 8th, winning a come-from-behind victory 7-5 in the 10th inning and achieving a winning series with 3 consecutive wins. Hanwha fell into a swamp of two consecutive losses.
SSG was unable to congratulate Kim Gwang-hyun,스포츠토토 who started as a starting pitcher, on reaching 2,000 innings in total in Korea and the United States. He was sluggish with 8 hits (1 home run), 4 walks, 1 strikeout and 5 runs (5 earned) in 3 innings. However, newcomer Song Young-jin’s surprising good pitching and the bullpen’s impregnable defense put the Hanwha batting line to rest.
On the other line, Jeon Eui-san, who hit a three-run home run, Choi Ji-hoon and Guillermo Heredia, who recorded multiple hits, shined. Choo Shin-soo, whose batting average fell below 10%, helped win with his first multi-hit of the season.
